SpotNepal: Having the situation getting more complex, conspiracy against way out is also getting stronger at the same time. In this situation what will be our role?

N. Bhandari: The current situation is very sensitive and we are in a transition phase towards republic. At the same time there is conspiracy nationally and internationally. But the government is lacking the will and commitment to manage this situation in a scientific way. Most recent incidents prove that even government is under conspiracy. Those who had defected are now starting conspiracy. Our party has declared along with a peace talk which is a complement of a New Nepal making process. We have just started a movement as a nominal way, but if the government fails to declare the interim constitution before 15th Poush then will start our second stage movement which will be more powerful than earlier. That time there will be more destruction to those who are trying to boycott major palatial powers. Nepali people will never forgive them. It is all Nepalese responsibility to go ahead hand-in-hand to make a new Nepal by stopping all interference.

SpotNepal: Is it right to say that the government is violating past accords?

N. Bhandari: Yes, the government is violating the sense of accords. It is clearly prescribed in all national and international treaties that both parti es should agree for a final treaty. Top leaders have duly signed on an interim constitution. We need to move ahead accepting the challenges of those who don’t want change. What this government doing is all the result of supremacist thinking. This should be stopped anyhow. In order to move ahead to fulfill the dreams of the people, we should seriously think and come to a common assent otherwise the nation will be in a serious problem.

SpotNepal: It is clear that there is a lack of solid decision making power. Do you think the seven parties will be able to perform that power in these days?

N. Bhandari: The obstacles are the thoughts of statuesque and supremacist. There are two trends in the parties who are in the government: the statuesque and the progressive concepts, and there are struggles between them. They are still moving ahead by the peoples force and will. In this condition, if we can move ahead by pressuring them not to go ahead, then they will be defeated.


SpotNepal: There is a necessity for unity among leftists. Do you see any possibilities on it?

N. Bhandari: Political parties have already declared about it. It is necessary to have not only unity, but the formation of republic front and unity between the political parties and those who are following Maoism. There is now a possibility on it.
SpotNepal: What types of strategies are needed for it?

N. Bhandari: First of all political parties should not think of leftists point of view only. The whole communist history has unity, struggle and division. But what I think now is the unity and struggle should be on a new form. That is why all communist parties should leave the attitude of dividing parties in small issues. All communist parties need to be united following the principle of Leninism. So we need to form a single communist party like the United Party of 2046 revolution.


SpotNepal: As young scholars, what will be the role of scholars in forming a new Nepal?

N. Bhandari: We are trying to give a new message to the world to form a new Nepal from the top of Mt. Everest. We want to give a message of peace to the world as Buddha has given to the world 2500 years ago. Scholars have a vital role in it. The fight is not over yet. We are fighting in the form of dialogue now. In the past we were fighting physically, but today we are fighting mentally. The form of fight is changed into mental and the ball is in the court of scholars.
Millions of peoples’ lives will be saved without the use of arms, so we need to mentally process things over. So scholars have big roles to make it successful to move towards the making of new Nepal.

SpotNepal: The country has never honored for equal labor. Maoists are participating in the government. What types of policies do we have for Labor rights?

N. Bhandari: The labor dimension has been created since the origin of class society; the lower and under-privileged communities were thrown out to hard labor. Few people got their rights to rule; if you are talking about physical labor, what I can say is that there should be a trend of honoring labor; we need to develop such an environment. But it's our misfortune that we need to sell our physical labor. Nepalese who have been abroad for a job are selling their physical labor. The nation should create an environment to honor them and develop a trend of honoring labor. Their labor should be utilized in Nepal to form a new Nepal. The nation should honor the labor and make a policy according to that.

SpotNepal: How can we involve all Nepalese who are abroad to take part in the formation of New Nepal?

N. Bhandari: Nepalese who are abroad are living in difficult situations. While they are working utilizing their physical and mental efforts in foreign lands, they remember their homeland and become depress. This country is being owned by few people. Hence this nation is for all. To make this movement successful, they need to use their labor for their own land. We need to fight against those who are abusing the nation. I want to give this message to all Nepalese.
